Washington men charged with trafficking meth
Two Washington men are in jail after police caught them with more than 150 grams of methamphetamine, according to the Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office.
A sheriff’s deputy initiated a traffic stop early Tuesday morning in the area of Interstate 90 and Pleasantview Road in Post Falls. During the traffic stop, a Post Falls K-9 completed an exterior sniff of the vehicle, according to a news release from the sheriff’s office.
A search of the vehicle allegedly yielded more than 150 grams of methamphetamine, as well as marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
Police arrested the driver, Thomas R. Nicholas, 26, of Spokane Valley,

The passenger, Kane M. Heaton, 28, of Otis Orchards, Wash., was also arrested and jailed on charges of trafficking methamphetamine, possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia.
