City of Hayden reminds residents of 'snow emergency' parking rules
Hayden officials are preparing for winter by reminding residents of "snow emergency" parking rules.
When the city of Hayden is forecasted to see 3 inches or more of snowfall, vehicles are prohibited from parking on the street, according to a press release.
"This is to ensure quick and easy removal of snow from the roads," the press release read. "Vehicles parked on the street, impeding snow plowing, may be noticed for immediate removal."
Additionally, basketball hoops and other personal property must be removed from streets in the event of significant snowfall. Trash cans should also be moved off the street immediately following trash pickup.
Residents who choose to remove snow from their driveway or sidewalk should place the snow on their property, instead of in the roadway.
"This will help our plow drivers to remove as much snow as possible off of the city streets to keep the streets as wide as possible as snow accumulates throughout the season," the press release read.
