Craft fairs, holiday bazaars aplenty

Craft fairs and holiday bazaars aplenty await holiday shoppers this yuletide season.

TODAY 

Holiday Artists Shop | 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. CREATE, 900 W. Fourth St., Newport. Diverse art mediums, including pottery, Kimekomi ornaments, fiber and fabric arts, wood bowls, Wild Women of the Woods characters, visual arts, copper and tin art jewelry and more. Live music by Rick Hiller.

Fourth annual Outdoor European Christmas Market | 4 to 8 p.m. Coeur d'Alene Elks Lodge No. 1254 RV Campground, 1170 W. Prairie Ave., Hayden. Based on traditional open-air Christkindlmarkts held in Germany, Austria and other countries during Advent season. Warming fires, homemade craft/gift vendors, food trucks, Vendor Village, hot-spiced mulled wine, music and Father Christmas. Fundraiser for Hayden Chamber of Commerce. Free admission for ages 10 and younger; $5 cash admission for others.

Winterfest Celebration and Plaza Market | 4 to 8 p.m. Post Falls City Hall Plaza, 408 N. Spokane St. Presented by Post Falls Parks and Recreation. Festivities include lighting the community tree, shopping, music, marshmallow treats, crafts and fresh-cut Christmas tree lot. Santa is expected to arrive at 6:15 p.m. Free.

Dec. 7

Christmas Bazaar | 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. 3rd Avenue Marketplace Senior Café, 1215 E. Third Ave., Post Falls. Gift baskets, handmade crafts/foods. Take a pet food item or cat litter to receive a free treat. All proceeds will support senior programs. 

40th Annual Christmas Market | 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. North Idaho Christian School, 251 W. Miles Ave., Hayden. Shop from over 50 local vendors. Music, famous chili potato bar and many raffles. Free.

Mullan Christmas Craft Fair | 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Morning Club, 117 Hunter St., Mullan. Unique gift items. Brooks Restaurant food available for purchase.

Christmas Market | 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Rathdrum Community Center, 8037 W. Montana St., Rathdrum. Handmade products and more. Bring non-perishable, shelf-stable food items to donate to the Rathdrum Food Bank. Free. 

Kootenai County Farmers' Market Winter Market | 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Kootenai County Fairgrounds, 4056 N. Government Way, Coeur d'Alene. Dozens of vendors. Seasonal produce, wreaths, honey, meats, cheeses, baked goods, eggs, jams, locally made gifts. Free parking. Raffle baskets. Coeur d'Alene High School gift wrapping fundraiser. Free.

Rathdrum Craft and Farmers Market’s Holiday Craft Fair | 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Rathdrum Lions Club, 16114 N. Meyer Road. Unique items crafted by gifted artists and farm-fresh products grown locally.
