Recognized for rugged guitar riffs, powerful rhythms and powerhouse vocals, Buffalo Speedway's name is reflective of its fast-paced and wild spirit. The North Idaho band's music is filled with themes of love, struggle and rebellion, which resonate with fans of authentic country and rock and roll. Recent singles "Renegades" and "Fire Me Up" have garnered over 700,000 streams since they were released just over six months ago.
Buffalo Speedway's members are Luke Yates, lead vocals and rhythm guitar; Dillon Campbell, lead guitar and background vocals; Aaron Anstett, keys and organ; Mike Hensley, bass guitar and background vocals; and Justin Ruggles, drums and percussion.
In April, the band released the EP "Our Versions, Vol. 1" across major streaming platforms.
Local singer-songwriter Kirby Ai will open the Aug. 30 show. Ai is known for his bluesy, soulful pop-rock/country sound, influenced by his travel experiences and life growing up on the island of Oahu. His love of Hawaiian music can also be detected in the music he creates.
Following the Coeur d'Alene performance, Buffalo Speedway will play Aug. 31 at the T-Post Tavern Block Party in Walla Walla and Oct. 5 at Beck's Harvest House in Colbert, Wash.
Tickets for the Kroc Center concert are $15. Surprises and new merchandise are in store for fans.
