KELLOGG — After about a 10-year hiatus, Krista Brandt is bringing back the “Anything I Wanna Be” empowerment workshop for Silver Valley girls in sixth through 12th grade.

“This isn’t just another gathering. It’s a day dedicated to empowering growth and instilling hope in young minds,” Brandt said.

The free event takes place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 19 at the Kellogg Elks 202 Lodge at 202 ½ McKinley Ave.

Speakers will talk about ways to break out of generational cycles and harness mental resilience in the face of crises, as well as how to use life skills while navigating everyday experiences.

Giveaways and activities are scheduled throughout the workshop.

“We’re going to give them so many tools to open up their minds to get them to realize there really is a great big world out there. I want them to understand they’re not what the generational habits they’ve experienced may be,” Brandt said.

Spots are available for 60 girls to attend, and registration is needed before May 10. Contact Brandt at anythingiwannabe2.0@gmail.com to register.
