Barnhart, a senior, won the 145-pound state 5A championship at the state tournament on Feb. 24 at the ICCU Dome in Pocatello, beating Logan Shaver of Meridian 9-2. Barnhart also won at 106 pounds as a freshman in 2020. “Tyson has been a key part of our program for the past several years,” Post Falls coach Pete Reardon said. “He grew in his leadership skills and became one of the best we’ve had. He’s a hard worker, loves his coaches and his teammates.”
