33 TRILLION: ‘Fiscal train wreck’

Thirty-three trillion in national debt. One million in hundred dollar bills equals 22 pounds, times 1,000 (a billion) times 1,000 (a trillion) times 33 equals 330,000+ tons of hundred dollar bills. This equals the weight of three 105,000-ton nuclear aircraft carriers and 110 70-ton MIAI Abrams battle tanks (and 7,300 tons of spuds).

When will this financial insanity end? Parents — how do you feel about saddling your children and grandchildren with this financial burden? What can we do to stop this fiscal train wreck? A good start is to hold our elected officials feet to the fire. You can email them, use snail mail, call their offices, and meet with candidates for state and national elected positions.

Our government is not self-healing. It depends on action from “we the people” to correct and heal the sickness in our constitutional republic.
