Linda Sue Halberg, 70

Linda passed away unexpectedly Aug. 26, 2023. She was born May 08, 1953, to Eugene Bruce and Anniebelle Peters Bruce in Loma Linda, Calif. She was raised in Fontana, Calif., and graduated from Fontana High School. She met, fell in love with and married Rick Halberg in 1976 at First Brethren Church in Long Beach, Calif. Five years later, their first child, Heather, was born. Later, two sons were born, Joshua and Joseph. Linda and her family moved to Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, in November 2006.

She loved reading, studying, researching and discussing the Bible. She enjoyed going on trips with her Rambling Rovers group and spending time with family and friends. Linda will be sorely missed by her family, friends and church family at Candlelight Christian Fellowship. We know she is in heaven having a glorious time. "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16

Linda is survived by her daughter, son-in-law, grandson and granddaughter, Heather and Benjamin Barden and Luther and Sonia; sons Joshua and Joseph; brother Daniel Bruce; and her sister, Diana Cole.

Thank you to all those friends and Candlelight Christian Fellowship for all their help and love during this sad time. A memorial service will be held Monday, Sept. 25, 2023, at 11 a.m. at Candlelight Christian Fellowship, 5725 N. Pioneer Drive, Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, (on the northwest corner of 95 and Dalton), with a luncheon following.
