ATHOL — Coeur d'Alene junior Max Cervi-Skinner (third), senior Jacob King (fifth), junior Zack Cervi-Skinner (sixth) and senior Lachlan May (10th) finished in the top 10 for the Viking boys, who ran away with the team title at the Timberlake Farragut Invitational on Saturday at Farragut State Park.

Coeur d'Alene won with 33 points, followed by Lewis & Clark of Spokane with 113.

Coeur d'Alene's girls, led by sophomore Dakota Keyworth in fifth, finished second to Mt. Spokane.

Coeur d'Alene Charter sophomore Annabelle Carr was second in the girls race in 19 minutes, 33.4 seconds.

Sandpoint's boys were fifth out of 25 teams, the girls sixth out of 18 teams.

“It was good competition for our guys and girls teams,” Sandpoint coach Mike Ehredt said. “There were lots of good teams from Washington, Boise, bigger 5A schools, etc. You have teams like Coeur d’Alene (boys) who are ranked fourth in the nation. I am all about running where the competition is, and this meet had a lot of it.”
