Lucille Margaret Green, 86

Lucille Margaret Green, 86, of Silverton, Idaho, passed away Oct. 20, 2023, at Mountain Valley Health and Rehabilitation of Cascadia in Kellogg, Idaho. Lucille was born July 24, 1937, in Rugby, N.D., a daughter of the late Joseph and Barbara (Pfeifer) Dosch.

Lucille graduated from high school in Devils Lake, N.D. She married Richard Lee Green on May 24, 1974, in Brighton, Colo. Richard later passed away in December 2014. Lucille and Richard moved to the Silver Valley in 2002 after living in Minnesota and Colorado for many years.

She worked at a dress shop in Virginia, Minn., was co-owner and operator of a motel in Commerce City, Colo., worked as a waitress for two years in Grand Rapids, Minn., then worked as a bookkeeper for a family-owned variety store also in Grand Rapids. Lucille enjoyed reading, walking, crocheting, traveling, and spending time outdoors fishing and camping. Her greatest joy was being a mom.

In addition to her parents and husband, Richard, Lucille is preceded in death by a daughter, Joyce Ann Kimmes; two brothers and five sisters.

Survivors include her four children, Ted Kimmes of Sterling, Colo., Deborah Kimmes of Grand Rapids, Mary Lynn (Mark) Bren of Kellogg and Susan Marie Heidt of Post Falls, Idaho; 11 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
