Linda Tiffany, 74

| October 22, 2023 1:00 AM

Linda Kay Tiffany, 74, of Rathdrum, Idaho. She was born Dec. 4, 1948, to Lucille Scheller and Fred Chaffins in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.

She married her first love, Dave Baxter, and they welcomed their sons, David and Rusty. They divorced and then she married her next love, Dwight Tiffany, and they welcomed their daughters, Shelly and Shawnee. Her children and grandchildren were her pride and joy. Linda was the bar manager for over 20 years at the El Patio Bar and Grill at the Stateline. She enjoyed working in her yard, fishing and making homemade dog biscuits for her beloved dog, Avery, and soon began making bags of delicious dog treats for her new little business, Tail Waggers. She enjoyed spending time with her longtime partner, Jay Hawks, at their cabin in Avery, Idaho, listening to Jay play the guitar and sing.

She is survived by her children, David Baxter of Harrison, Idaho, Rusty (Jenny) Baxter of Elma, Wash., Shelly (Damon) Clark of Liberty Lake, Wash., and Shawnee Blessinger of Post Falls, Idaho. Her loving sisters, Barbara (Ron) Oliver of St. Mary’s, Ga., Janie (John) Ragan of St. Maries, Idaho, brother Tom (Sandra) Scheller of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, 11 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and one on the way, and numerous nieces and nephews.

We will miss her laugh, which was bigger than she was, her big hugs and her big red hair.

She is preceded in death by her father, Fred Chaffins, and mother Lucille Scheller.

There will be a celebration of life in St. Maries, Idaho, on Oct. 29, 2023.
