NIC VOLLEYBALL: Cardinals sweep Yakima Valley

YAKIMA, Wash. — Rachael Stacey had 10 kills, Morgan Claus and Gracie Keisel nine each for North Idaho College in a 25-11, 25-23, 25-12 Northwest Athletic Conference sweep of the Yakima Valley Yaks on Friday.

Claus had 10 digs and two aces, Keisel 10 digs and five aces and Karolyne Wolfgramm 28 assists and four blocks for NIC (21-1, 9-0 NWAC), which has won 15 straight.

“We played aggressive at the net and service line,” first-year NIC coach Brittany Tilleman said. “We kept them off balance and really were intentional with our first touch to keep our side in system. I’m really proud of this team win tonight.”

Yakima Valley, third in the East Region, is 13-11, 6-4,

NIC (21-1, 9-0) returns home to face Blue Mountain today at 2 p.m.
