Post Falls High evacuates after HVAC system overheats

POST FALLS — Post Falls High School students were briefly evacuated Thursday morning after a heating, ventilation and air conditioning system overheated.

“We evacuated the high school, per policy,” Kootenai County Fire and Rescue Chief Chris Way said. “It went smoothly."

Students were let back into the building after the short evacuation and fire units were quickly cleared from the scene.

"There was no fire," Way said.
