Felon arrested for firearms in PF

A convicted felon in Post Falls was arrested for unlawful firearm possession after police executed a search warrant Wednesday.

Post Falls Police reported David Sursely, 57, of Post Falls, was taken into custody and booked into the Kootenai County Public Safety Building without incident. The Post Falls Police Special Response Team assisted Post Falls Police detectives with serving the search warrant on a house in the 1600 block of Legion Drive in Post Falls.

The warrant was for weapons believed to be in the possession of a prohibited person who had previously been convicted of felony crimes. Weapons were located inside the residence during the search.

The arrest was the result of a monthslong investigation.
