Man arrested after allegedly threatening people with sword
COEUR d'ALENE — A Coeur d'Alene man was arrested Thursday after reportedly threatening people with a sword.
Bryan R. Craig, 33, was booked into Kootenai County Jail on two counts of aggravated assault, according to a press release.
Coeur d'Alene police received several calls about 3:45 p.m. regarding a man threatening people in the 200 block of North 10th Street with what was reported to be a sword, the release said.
Officers responded and found the man, later identified as Craig, had returned to his residence.
Craig came outside and had a brief interaction with officers, but was uncooperative and went back into his residence, the release said.
Officers remained on scene and secured the area while SWAT officers were summoned.
After SWAT arrived, Craig eventually came outside and was taken into custody without further incident.
