A Holiday lineup at The Panida Theater

| November 24, 2023 1:00 AM

The Panida Theater will present the 12th annual Giving Thanks show featuring the Shook Twins at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at The Panida, 300 North First Ave., Sandpoint.

The show is an annual reunion for hometown musical sweethearts Katelyn and Laurie Shook. For the past 12 years, the twins have been bringing their friends to town to share the stage with them and indulge in a memorable evening with their hometown community.

This year, Shook Twins will bring their friend, Karli Fairbanks, a Spokane musician with sweet tones and harmonies. She and her band will open the show and also collaborate with Shook Twins in the tradition of the Thanksgiving show.

Tickets are $30 and available online at panida.org or at the door. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m.

The Thanksgiving show will be followed by the start of the Christmas season at The Panida with “The Nutcracker” and Celtic Christmas performances.

Allegro Dance Studio will present four shows of Tchaikovsky’s ballet, “The Nutcracker.”

There will be a black-tie gala with limited tickets and premier seats available before the Saturday evening performance. The Gala will be hosted by Trinity Cafe, 113 Main St., bar and restaurant.

All proceeds from the Gala will go to support scholarships for local dance students at Allegro Dance Studio.

Tickets are between $38.90 and $58.90 and available at panida.org or at the door.

Shows will start at 7 p.m. Dec. 1 and Dec. 2, and matinee shows will begin at 2 p.m. Dec. 2 and Dec. 3.

A Celtic Christmas will open at 7 p.m. Dec. 8.

Internationally renowned Irish group Everdream will perform Celtic and Christmas classics, including songs by Enya, magical movie songs, toe-tapping reels and jigs, some unique Irish Christmas songs and their version of "O’ Holy Night."

Everdream will play beloved songs of Ireland, old and new.

Bandmembers Emer (soprano) Mary (violin) and Teresa (harp) have performed on stage and on television with Michael Bublé, Il Divo, Mike Batt, Rod Stewart and Katherine Jenkins.

They’ll perform at the Panida for $20 for adults and $15 for children. Tickets are available at the door or online at panida.org.
