COEUR d'ALENE — The 47th annual New Year's Day fun run to benefit Tesh is set for 9:30 a.m. at Atlas Waterfront Park.
The three-mile race is an out-and-back course that passes Riverstone Park and turns around at the Harbor Center.
Tesh is a nonprofit that helps youth and adults with disabilities develop skills that will help them learn to live independently.
In the old days, the run was called the Hangover Handicap and was a five-mile race on Coeur d'Alene Lake Drive.
It generally attracts a few hundred runners and walkers and raises several thousand dollars for Tesh.
Cost is $35, and goes to $45 after Nov. 30. It includes a shirt, drinks and snacks.
