Artists sought for Local Lights downtown holiday art project

COEUR d’ALENE — As part of the new Winter Lights event through the CDA Downtown Association, the Coeur d'Alene Arts and Culture Alliance is asking for artist submissions for a winter- or light-themed window display from now through Nov. 19. 

Local Lights is an opportunity for artists and creatives to design and execute wintry-themed window displays for a handful of downtown businesses. The event will run from Jan. 26 to Feb. 4.

Artists are asked to submit ideas using a sketch, photos or digital mock-up. A stipend of $200-300 will be given to artists to help cover costs of materials. Artists will be paired with businesses after submitting  ideas and there will be opportunity for collaboration and communication between artists and business owners.
