Day Shift
Deputies handled a property damage crash at Idaho and Prairie.
Deputies responded to the West Fernan Boat Launch for a reported transient camp. Two subjects were contacted and advised they were not allowed to camp at the park/boat launch.
Evening Shift
Deputies responded to Athol Super 1 Foods for a shoplifter. An unknown male came into the store and stole a soda pop. When confronted, the male returned the soda and left. The male’s identity is unknown at this time.
A deputy stopped a vehicle at Hwy 54 and Hwy 95 as it was reported as a possible DUI. He identified the driver who showed signs of impairment. Ultimately the driver was arrested for DUI and possession of Marijuana.
Night Shift
Deputies responded to a report of a battery that had occurred at an address on Riverbend. Through the investigation, it was learned a male came to the residence and fought with another male. The victim did not want to press charges, so a report was completed to document the incident.
A deputy contacted a suspicious vehicle parked at the Higgens Point Boat Launch. During the contact, the odor of marijuana was coming from the vehicle. The driver admitted that a friend had smoked marijuana in the vehicle recently. A search of the vehicle yielded a loaded syringe with methamphetamine. The driver was arrested for drug possession.
