SECOND AMENDMENT: Needs amendment?

In a Letter to the Editor in Sunday’s Coeur d’Alene Press, the writer suggests the Second Amendment should be amended but offers no suggestions on what the amendment should be.

We all have the right to live without being killed in an automobile accident, it may be time to add an amendment to the constitution to ban the ownership of private vehicles, after all 39,000 people are killed yearly by these hunks of iron and of those 4,300 are children, it may be time to rewrite our constitution. Can’t wait for his next “Amend the Amendments” letter. Maybe he’ll have some suggestions for that one.
