HAZEL: Clarification from local Democrats

Christa Hazel’s opinion piece in Friday’s Coeur d’Alene Press may have given readers a wrong message about the Kootenai County Democrats. It deserves clarification.

Despite what was implied, the Kootenai County Democrats do not use out-of-state political contractors to send text messages on any issues. If you, or anyone you know, receives a text message from the Kootenai County Democrats, a living breathing Democrat sent it to you.

If you get a text message from the Kootenai County Democrats, it is because we personally want to connect with you on important issues. Feel free to text back — especially if the text seems suspicious. A real, live Kootenai County Democrat will be waiting on the other side.
