Candidates confirmed for May election

Dozens of candidates have filed to run for various county positions in the May 16 election. These taxing district candidates will appear on the ballot in addition to requests for voters to approve school district levies in the Coeur d'Alene and Lakeland districts.

Candidates are also running for seats on the following water and sewer district boards: Alpine Meadows, Bayview, Cataldo, Dry Acres, Green Ferry, Hackney, Harbor View Estates, Hayden Lake, Kingston-Cataldo, Kootenai County Water District No. 1, North Kootenai, Ohio Match Road.

Candidates have until March 31 to withdraw their candidacy.
