ST. MARIES — Junior Caden Robinett pitched a no-hitter, allowing only a walk on the second hitter of the game as the visiting Timberlake Tigers beat the St. Maries Lumberjacks 10-0 in a nonleague game at the St. Maries American Legion Baseball Field.

“Caden was extremely accurate and was really dialed in to what he was doing today,” Timberlake coach Bryce Johnson said. “He threw a lot of strokes with some good velocity. He’s just been consistent when he takes the mound and works hard. We just trusted him to go and make the other team put the ball in play, and he did that and let his defense make some plays for him.”

Robinett also had three hits and an RBI for Timberlake (3-3), which is scheduled to host Lakeland in a doubleheader on April 4.

St. Maries (1-2) is scheduled to play a doubleheader against Bonners Ferry at home on Saturday at noon, also at the St. Maries American Legion Baseball Field.

“Acacia pitched extremely well for us,” Timberlake coach Casi Lupinacci said. “She was able to get herself out of a few jams. Taci has always been really, really good, but our kids were seeing the ball really well and got some hits going and were able to do some things.”
