Robert James Wilson, 72

Robert James Wilson, 72, formerly of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, by way of Blandinsville, Ill., passed away on March 12, 2023 at his residence in Savanna, Ill. After coming home from the hospital, Bob was supported by FHN Hospice for five weeks before passing.

Bob served in the Army, graduated from Western Illinois University and was everyone's favorite Santa Claus. Bob is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, sending his two sons on missions to Mexico, Texas and California. He was also involved with the Boy Scouts of America for over 40 years, helping 63 scouts to reach the rank of Eagle.

He is survived by his wife, Cathy, of 53 years, and George Guild (Brother-in-law) and a sister, Harriet Jourdan. He also survived by his two sons, Reaine (Julie) Wilson of Mt. Carroll, Ill., and Chance (Angie) Wilson of Vicenza, Italy. He has eight grandchildren, Reaine Garrett (Sarah), Kaely, Makenzie (Kyle), Londyn (Tyler), Amelia, Adalei and Catia. Bob is preceded in death by his granddaughter Lluvia Juliana, his parents Reaine and Ruth, two brothers Raymond and Richard, and a sister, Glenda Boyer.

A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Macomb, Ill., on Saturday, March 18th at 1 p.m.
