LEVY ELECTIONS: Move to November

So Superintendent Shon Hocker does not “know how we could be more transparent than we are.” Let me suggest that he support the efforts of State Representative Joe Alfieri to move school bond elections to November when a greater number of voters who would be subject to the levies actually vote.

The added costs of special elections and the shortage of poll workers all support moving school election issues to the general election. Holding these elections when only a small number of voters will vote suggests that there is something they are trying to hide. He and others should also advise State Senator Ben Toews to also support changing these elections to November.
