COEUR TERRE: What the developer isn’t telling you

You need to be aware of what the Kootenai County Land Company is not telling you about their Coeur Terre development.

1) They aren’t giving Coeur d’Alene two schools, they are giving you the opportunity to buy land from them to use to build schools. Your Cost: $millions for the land and $10’s of millions for the buildings. All from your wallet. Are you starting to see why the push to change the school levy structure now to lock in funding? Because in a very short time, the school district is going to come asking for more of your money.

2) You will be paying for the new fire station required for the size of their project. Your Cost: $millions for the building and $millions for the fire apparatus.

3) You will be paying for new police vehicles for the 15 new officers needed due to the size of their project. Also, you will be paying for a new police sub-station. Your Cost: $millions for the building and vehicles.

4) You will be paying for another snowplow, landscape equipment/trucks and on and on. Your Cost: Whatever is left in your wallet, send it in.

You don’t need to be living in one of the impacted neighborhoods to feel their greed. Every Coeur d’Alene taxpayer will be footing the bill while the Kootenai County Land Company makes billions (yes, with a “B”). Tell your councilmembers to vote “NO” to Coeur Terre!
