SCHOOL LEVIES: Vote yes

There are those of you that always vote yes on school levies (thank you), and those who always vote no on everything (sorry for you), and those of you who are on the fence about how to vote this time, I urge you to check out what the levies are about and please vote yes.

I grew up in the Spokane area and have lived here for about 45 years. I have always supported the schools. I have volunteered since 1981 in classrooms, served on PTOs at all levels of the schools. I worked as a parapro in the special education department for more than 25 years. I have seen what great things are going on in schools and it is awesome! Please help out and volunteer in a school and see what I have seen.

The state legislators in Idaho do not fund everything that is needed for schools. That is why the local boards must implore the citizens of each district in our state to help with the monies they need to run the schools and its buildings: everything including art to music to sports to maintaining the buildings themselves, and the people who work at those jobs.

Look up the info out there about the levies yourself, don’t just take the word of people who always vote no on levies. I hope you realize this will be great for our community and the children that live here.

Please vote yes on March 14.
