COEUR d’ALENE – Former Congressman and FOX News host Trey Gowdy will be the keynote speaker at Mountain States Policy Center's inaugural spring dinner in Coeur d’Alene.

“Congressman Gowdy’s legal and public service are inspirational,” said Chris Cargill, the president and CEO of Mountain States Policy Center. “We are honored to have him speak about the state of our politics at our first spring dinner.”

The event is scheduled April 28 at the Best Western Plus Coeur d’Alene Inn.

MSPC is a nonprofit, nonpartisan research center that provides free market solutions. It concentrates its work in Idaho, Eastern Washington, Montana and Wyoming.

In 2010, Gowdy ran for congress to represent South Carolina's 4th Congressional District in Greenville and Spartanburg counties.

After four terms in congress, he announced he would not seek re-election in 2018.
