COEUR TERRE: Don’t connect Woodside Avenue

This letter is in regard to the Coeur Terre Development. My wife and I have lived at the end of Woodside Avenue for more than eight years now and have been a resident of Kootenai County for more than 32 years. We oppose connecting West Woodside Avenue to Coeur Terre Development.

We will already be losing our beautiful view and privacy with this development. At the very least they could have created some very nice green appeal to the surrounding development with bike paths and trees, giving it a bit more appeal to it for the existing residents rather than stacking the houses very close together thus giving us a view of someone elses backyard and home. The traffic that would pass by our place will be significant just for someone’s convenience. This certainly cannot be about managing traffic because if it was we wouldn’t be losing another field and building hundreds of more homes which constitutes some major shifts in our communities growing traffic challenges.

We are not the only ones affected by this development, we lose the view, the privacy and the safety, but since we have resided at Woodside Avenue we have enjoyed the wildlife, deer, moose, eagles, hawks, pheasant, geese, turkeys, raccoons, porcupine, ground hogs, squirrels, many birds, fox, coyotes, to many to list, this obviously will greatly affect the wildlife, the geese that winter on the prairie each year will be affected. We are opposed to the connecting West Woodside Avenue to Coeur Terre.
