TAXES: Relief needed

Spend less. Do not raise any local fees (taxes) or any taxes.

If you want to see stars at night, have WWP, oops Avista, turn off all their street lights. An easy way to save taxpayer money for an actual benefit.

If the city actually wanted tourists downtown, parking would be free. There is some savings from the current garbage pickup fees compared to the prior contract with Waste Management, about $15,000 per month that could pay at least a portion of this. How about constant revenue generation through over-billing for most services, like water. Check fund balances for verification. This form of the city’s “profit” is spent on non-revenue generating activities or simply city budget expansion.

Perhaps having council members who do not expect the city to take care of you would help substantially.
