Children's Village annual fundraiser set for July 13
COEUR d'ALENE — The Children's Village annual fundraiser is set for July 13.
It will feature auctions, entertainment, dinner and prize drawings at the nonprofit's campus at 1350 W. Hanley Ave.
Last year, nearly 600 people attended and raised $330,000.
Vanessa Moos, the organization's chief executive officer, said the event aims to generate about one-third of their annual fundraising goal.
"Residential treatment and staffing is a very heavy cost operation; because of the community support around us through this event and others, we are able to stay open when other homes are closing around the state," she wrote.
Children’s Village is described as a "trauma responsive safe haven, restoring trust and hope for children and families who experience abuse, neglect, or are in crisis."
