FAMILY DAY: Thanks to all

A BIG THANKS to everyone who supported, participated and attended June 9 the successful seventh annual Family Day in the Park!

Family Day in the Park and North Idaho Family Marketplace is a collaborative, community-wide, fun-filled kick-off to summer held in downtown Coeur d’Alene at the City Park and Beach on the last day of school every year. This cooperative event features close to 100 organizations providing activities, giveaways, entertainment, food, and valuable information for kids and families. Admission to the event and most activities are free.

Live entertainment was scheduled throughout the day at the Rotary bandshell including performances from North Idaho Rock School, Lake City Highland Dancers, and more.

Activities included a heavy equipment interactive exhibit, The Community Library Network Bookmobile, Heritage Health’s Mobile Clinic, Coeur d’Alene Police and Fire Departments, Smokey Bear and Cecil Cardinal, Idaho Disaster Dog K-9 Unit, Safe Start Mobile Safety Unit for Car/Booster Seat Checks, and an expanded North Idaho Family Marketplace with local vendors including KIDS Marketplace!

Event sponsors, IdahoPTV/KnowVape, North Idaho Rock School, Ginno Construction and T-Mobile, as well as dozens of activity partners, helped to make this unique event possible.

The idea of a collaborative event, which started in 2017 as a revamp of Kids Day in the Park, furthers the "healthy families and lifelong learning" mission of North Idaho Family Group. This project truly demonstrates the spirit of all nonprofits working together to become stronger and better serve our community.
