LIBRARY BOOKS: Newspapers should report removals

There was a letter to the editor that suggested that the Coeur d’Alene Press report on what books are removed from the book shelves in the Community Libraries. I wholeheartedly agree that it should be the responsibility of a newspaper to report on books being removed from the library shelves.

I would take that to one step forward. The newspaper should be reporting on how our legislators, state and federal are voting. In the most recent vote on the debt ceiling, Congressman Fulcher voted no on raising the debt ceiling. It would be great for the public to be informed on what is being passed at the local, state and federal level. This is one way to keep our elected officers responsible to the voting public.
