PRIVACY RIGHTS: At risk with Labrador

Anyone aware of our Attorney General Raúl Labrador signed a letter which would allow the state to obtain medical records of women who sought an abortion out of state? Yes, he signed a letter that Fitch, Mississippi’s Attorney General who wants a rules change to allow the state to obtain medical records.

Regardless, of how you feel about abortion, allowing a state to obtain medical records is a gross violation of privacy. Today, it is abortion and transgender, tomorrow it will be anyone who has cancer. If you think that cannot happen, think again. If you allow a state to obtain your medical records then all bets are off. Where does it end?

In his campaign, Raul Labrador promised “to zealously defend Idaho’s sovereignty and stand up for individual liberty.” What happened? If he is willing to do this, what will happen to our voting rights? Watch out, Idaho.
