PARADE: Kudos to Cd’A Chamber, Coppess

I want to thank the Coeur d’Alene Regional Chamber for the outstanding job they did with our local Fourth of July parade. Many thanks also goes to Linda Coppess, who was born and raised here and knows just what a local parade should entail. It couldn’t have been done without the sponsors, and the volunteers.

As the parade was soon to start, most of the residents at the (Pacifica), the Assisted Living where I work were escorted outside to observe. They were overjoyed and the many volunteers on the parade route gave them extra attention and kindness. Tears streamed down one of the residents face as she got to pet one of the horses. Candy was thrown for them and they cheered with delight. I am sure they remembered their youth and the delight the parade made to them back in their day.

I want to thank everyone with deep sincerity for affording this sweet opportunity for these wonderful people; lined up on the street to get a glimpse of this wonderful parade. Thank you also for helping to give them more sweet memories.

Coeur d’Alene and its local people are very proud of our city and what it offers us. We are very blessed to live here.

Once again, my deepest thanks to all that were involved in helping to make 40 elderly people smile brightly on this wonderful day.
