Hocking, a 6-foot senior guard, scored 20 of his game-high 33 points in the first half of Friday’s 70-62 win at Sandpoint in the Battle for the Paddle spirit game. “He really stepped up in the big environment of the Battle for the Paddle and really got us going on Friday,” Lakeland coach Tony Hanna said. “He had a really good, all-around game. Scotty is a great offensive player who can knock down shots and is very shifty in his ability to get to the rim.”
