REAL LIFE: Writer should attend a service

| January 22, 2023 1:00 AM

I was a little taken aback at Ron Dayton’s comments about the invitation he received in the mail to attend the opening of the new building of Real Life Ministries in Spirit Lake.

Ron obviously has never attended any of the services at any one of our four campuses. Our community outreach rivals any of the churches of the area. Ron mentions going to either a food bank or senior centers to experience “real people.” I guess he is unaware that the Post Falls Campus provides a food bank and that serves the entire community on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday of each week. On Mondays, they host a Senior Connect group that provides fellowship and a meal to anyone who cares to attend. So they are aware of the struggles of those who live in North Idaho and are focused on people.

As for the architecture of the building, church is not the dwelling. It’s the community of people who makeup the body of Christ. Ron should come in and attend one of our services. Not only may it change his opinion, but also his life.
