WITNESS: Deserves grace and kindness

Recent comments on social media regarding Dylan Mortensen, one of two survivors and witness to the exit of the perpetrator from the Moscow home have left me disheartened with the consciousness of humanity.

This young woman is in need of and worthy of our prayers, our protection, our love.

If you have personally never had a brush with evil, consider yourself fortunate. There was most likely a powerful demonic force field surrounding the man as he made his departure. If she had in any way attempted to intervene, she would most assuredly be a fifth victim.

Being frozen is a trauma response.

Let us assist this young woman in her journey forward by holding her up. Let us help her, the other survivor, and their families to know the loving kindness of true community. Let us allow for grace in this most horrific situation. Let us find cruel speculative commentary unacceptable. Let us help this beautiful young woman create a way forward to heal and enable her to reach her full potential.
