REAL LIFE: Look before you object

The is in response to a reader letter from Ron Dayton regarding Real Life Ministries.

Mr. Dayton, I’m sorry that you objected to receiving an invitation to the open house at our new North Campus in Athol. This new campus addition has been years in the making and we praise God for the wonderful facility to serve the North Kootenai County area. On the very first Sunday it was packed for two services and children’s ministries.

I just wish that you had looked into Real Life before sending your negative comments to the Coeur d’Alene Press. You would’ve found that Real Life Ministries has extensive outreach support for the communities that we reach. Real Life offers financial assistance and counseling for rent, utilities and minor medical bills to those in need. We have a food bank at our Post Falls campus. Our Job Club supports the job search process that includes help with interview skills and shaping your resume. Real Life has a recovery program to help people overcome addictions. We support the school districts in the county in many ways. The Fields at Real Life and Courts at Real Life provide sports opportunities for thousands in our community. There is much more that would take more than the space allowed here.
