Spirit Lake town hall tonight

SPIRIT LAKE — A town hall meeting is slated for 6:30 tonight at Spirit Lake City Hall.

City Clerk Michelle Wharton wrote that Mayor Jeremy Cowperthwaite wanted the town hall to be separate from the scheduled council meeting on Tuesday.

She said the mayor and City Council scheduled the meeting because they want to make sure residents have a voice in the city of Spirit Lake.

"It is the time for residents to come in and to speak freely about concerns and to hopefully get answers to any questions they may have about the city," she wrote in an email to The Press.
