LOVE LIVES IN Cd'A: Couple thanks caring community

My husband, Dr. Harris Finberg, and I would like to express our gratitude to all who were present at Cricket’s Restaurant when he choked and experienced respiratory arrest on Thursday, Jan. 5. The staff at the restaurant was quick to turn on the lights and arrange a safe space for CPR. Some of the patrons were familiar with CPR and helped me with Heimlich and chest compressions.

My son quickly called 911 and the response team arrived in 3-4 minutes. They were professional, competent and compassionate. They removed the offending food item and Harris started breathing on his own. The patrons and staff applauded!

He is now completely recovered and has no memory of the incident, but I will never forget the love, kindness and support from all who were witness to the event. Love lives in Coeur d’Alene.
