SIDEWALKS: Property owners should keep them clear

Wouldn’t it be a big boost to the local wintertime economy if residents and businesses cleared the sidewalks (isn’t that a law, apparently with no consequences) and deiced the parking lots?

Then we could walk to the corner or get out of the car at the store without fear of breaking an ankle or worse, particularly seniors and those less athletically-inclined. Just a thought.
