COEUR d’ALENE LEVY: Vote no

Assistant Superintendent Mike Nelson said this levy represents the values of our community. Does our schools really represent community values? District 271 is a member of the Idaho School Boards Association. On July 7, 2014, the school board adopted ISBA’s “Transgender Student Guidelines For Administrator Reference.”

In 2022, ISBA revised their school model for all districts. The ISBA wants all districts to implement this plan. It requires middle and high school students give consent before parents are made aware of their child’s transition. Allows biological males to participate in female sports. (Illegal in Idaho HB500). Allows biological males/females to share school restrooms, locker rooms, etc., and sleeping quarters, consistent with gender identity, on overnight school trips. Not illegal in any state. Requires school staff use name and pronouns consistent with student’s transition. Staff can be disciplined for failure to use transitioning name, and correct pronouns, but not in presence of parents. Policy 3281- 3281-3 is on their website.

How much has ISBA influenced current school policy? School funding is the only way to keep these “woke” agendas out of our schools. Vote No!
