Donna Irene Benne, 75

Donna Irene Benne, 75, of Rathdrum, Idaho, passed away Feb. 13, 2023, in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. She is survived by her husband, Ron, at the family home in Rathdrum; her daughter, Danielle; her sister, Carol of North Carolina; brother Steven and his wife, Angela, of North Carolina; her baby sister, Diane and her husband, Jeff, of Boise, Idaho; along with many nieces and nephews as well as her best friends, Linda Fry of Southern California and Beth Franz of Coeur d’Alene. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leroy and Buna Wortman of California.

Donna was born in Richmond, Calif., on April 21, 1947, and was immediately a force to be reckoned with. She was a cherished member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church Altar Society in Rathdrum and was known for her kind, loving heart. Donna absolutely loved to stay busy quilting, crocheting, knitting, shopping and traveling the world with her beloved husband. She was a devoted wife, mother, sister and friend who never hesitated to be there for those she loved. She will be greatly missed by all those who knew her.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, Feb. 17, 2023, at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, 8026 Second St., Rathdrum, with a viewing and Rosary beginning at 1 p.m. Burial will follow the funeral service at the Pinegrove Cemetery in Rathdrum. A reception will be held immediately following the burial at the St. Stanislaus Catholic Church Hall.
