Symons, a 6-foot senior forward, had 19 points and 17 rebounds for the Vikings’ in a 56-35 win over the Lake City Timberwolves in the 5A Region 1 championship game to advance to the state tournament. “Madi is an amazing competitor, teammate and person,” Coeur d’Alene coach Nicole Symons said. “She has proven she can play multiple positions offensively and defensively.. I am so proud of her growth over the last four years."
