BALLOONS: Burst CCP bubble

More than 60 years ago a small weather balloon crashed into cliffs in the Pacific Coast Ranges. Had it been shot down barely 50 miles from the Pacific Ocean? Had someone taken it out with a 22 rifle or a larger-ranged scoped rifle?

The debris was not stamped, “Made in China!”

About that same time American U-2 spy plane pilot Francis Gary Powers was shot down and captured over the USSR (1960). Frustrated Russian military fired many surface-to-air missiles at the CIA high-tech camera-loaded U-2 (1956-1960). The U.S. Government and President Dwight Eisenhower (1953-1961) were embarrassed. The nations engage in espionage.

Recently, from observant citizens like Chase Doak (Montana) and Cameron Dew (South Carolina), the large Chinese spy balloon was videotaped (“Newsmax”).

Over a 5-day period the balloon went coast-to-coast and hovered over U.S. military installations. It was finally shot down by a F-22 pilot in U.S. territorial waters in the Atlantic.

Almost all witnesses said the balloon should have been shot down as it crossed the sparsely populated Aleutians, Alaska, or Canada (NORAD).

If the spy balloon carried a small nuclear device, more than 334-million people risked an EMP? At the least the Communist Chinese down-loaded their important U.S. territorial information to their much higher orbing satellites.

“Who are these that fly as a cloud, and as the doves to their windows?” (Isaiah 60:8).
