CHURCHES: Lukewarm is a problem

A lukewarm church is one that is neither hot nor cold. This means is if they are hot then they are on fire for Jesus, but if they are cold, then that means that they could care less about God. Therefore, lukewarm is somewhere in the middle. They are not on fire for Jesus, but they are not totally Godless either. The Bible explicitly warns us against this.

Revelation 3:15-16 — “I know your works, that you are neither hot nor cold. I could wish you were hot or cold. So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will vomit you out of my mouth.”

God is very serious about lukewarm-ness. This is a common problem with churches nowadays. American churches are weak because of people being lukewarm. They can sing their spiritual songs, but then they have to ask themselves, “Am I on fire for Jesus, or is this all just for show?” This is a big problem for America, but not all hope is lost. 2 Chr. 7:14 — “If my people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” It needs to personally start with us. If we humbly repent for our sins, fully trusting in God, only then there will be hope for America.
