SCHOOL ELECTION DATES: March, August elections should be eliminated
Representative Alfieri is spot on. Putting these special confiscatory levies under the scrutiny of the voting majority at the November general elections gives meaning to no taxation without representation. I imagine the local woke cheerleaders of the public school monopoly will wheel out some “expert” who will be in high dudgeon over this: “threat to the children.” I can’t wait to hear the heads exploding.
Ironically in the same section of The Press, was an article how the Classical Christian Academy in Rathdrum, a private school, has been recognized for academic excellence. I do not recall any reference to taxpayer support for that school. Any of you: “We need butts in the seats” public education wonks care to comment? Crickets?
