Young Artist Competition open now

The Coeur d'Alene Symphony National Young Artist Competition is open now.

The contest aims to highlight the best and brightest young musicians and give them an opportunity to perform with the Coeur d'Alene Symphony during the March 16 concert. It will be at 7:30 p.m. in the Schuler Performing Arts Center at North Idaho College. 

One winner will be selected from each category. Up to five winners will be chosen to perform. See the links at cdasymphony.org to sign up, submit YouTube recordings and pay for application fees.

The submission period ends Jan. 31.
