Human remains found Nov. 26 by local hunters have been identified as a Twin Lakes man whose family reported him missing in February.

The remains have been identified as 36-year-old Jacob K. Fulwiler.

Kootenai County detectives received word of the positive identification Tuesday, according to a news release from the sheriff’s office.

“At this time, the cause of death and toxicology are still under investigation,” the release said.

The remains were located in the Twin Lakes area on private timberland owned by Inland Empire Paper Company.
